Description from the seller
AMA • Pope (1985) - "Aurora Nova" - Louis Vuitton - 3/20
In the wake of the original luminous works from the Aurora Borealis collection, discover "Aurora Nova", a hand-customized, limited-edition light sculpture of 20 copies for 2025, themed around the French haute couture house Louis Vuitton (this is not an official object of the brand).
A strong, minimalist, contemporary sculptural presence: the elegant mirrored sphere draws the eye when off, then reveals, once lit, an intense and hypnotic luminous explosion at its heart.
The iconic LV monogram, suspended at the center of the sphere, becomes the focal point of the piece. It seems to float in a vibrant luminous universe, creating a visually spectacular and instantly recognizable effect.
Aurora Nova embodies a purified, confident vision of light: a strong, direct, immersive light signature, conceived as a true contemporary pop artwork.
- LED sphere lamp with mirrored effect
- Simple, immediate on
- Intense signature lighting (see photos)
Lamp in a limited edition, numbered, signed and delivered with an authenticity certificate "AMA".
Fast and careful shipping (bubble wrap, tissue paper and box) with signature on delivery.
Dimensions: 12 x 9 x 9 cm
Year of creation: 2025
Place of creation: France
Who is Pope?
Pope, co-founder of the AMA collective, develops a singular artistic universe driven by a practice of the visual arts from childhood, a high standard of detail and meticulous visual research.
Through sculptures, paintings and installations, he draws inspiration from photography, urban landscapes and everyday scenes, with a sensitive and wondrous gaze, attentive as much to simplicity as to the complexity of the world around him.
Pope mainly draws inspiration from the world around him but also through currents of renowned artists such as Banksy, Keith Haring, Koons, Orlinski, Takashi, Fred Allart, Shepard Fairey, Warhol, Yayoi Kusama, Richard Hamilton, Jean-Michel Basquiat, Alec Monopoly, KAWS, Pantone, Mr. Brainwash, Blek le Rat, to name just a few.
Whether it’s for a gift, a keepsake or your personal collection of contemporary art, you’ll easily find your favorite thanks to the diversity of our works. Indeed, Pope pursues his passion for urban art through street art (streetart) and pop art (popart) (limited or not) tackling a wide range of themes such as cryptocurrencies (Bitcoin, Ethereum), the dollar, money, gold, wealth, the sex industry, drug harms, luxury and haute couture brands, the world of comics and video games, the pharmaceutical industry and medicines, recycling and upcycling, agro-food and fashion products (sport, sneakers...).
Brands guide our choices and often our lives without us realizing it. Aware of this impact, Pope likes to mischievously twist labels such as Louis Vuitton (LV), Chanel, Dior, Hermès, Prada, Gucci, Rolex, Yves Saint Laurent (YSL), Supreme, Obey, Ferrari, Lamborghini, Porsche, Bugatti, AMG, Mercedes, Nike (Air Jordan), Adidas (Stan Smith), Coca Cola, Pepsi, Marvel and Avengers (Batman, Joker, Superman...), Disney (Mickey, Scrooge McDuck...), Nintendo, Sega, Tintin, Lego, Pokemon, Vans and many more.
Dear bidders, our collective strives to ensure that all information necessary to evaluate the lote sold is clearly detailed in the listing: dimensions, weight, description and photos... After the sale, no unwarranted claims will be considered. Thank you for your understanding.
