A beautiful cityscape by Hendrikus Gerardus, Hennie, de Korte.

The painting, 80 x 90 cm, is in excellent condition and is hand-signed in the bottom right.

Born in Vreeswijk, he left for Australia in 1951 with his parents.

He studied there from 1957 to 1959 at the Sydney Art Academy.

Then he returned to the Netherlands and studied for another three years at the Rotterdam Art Academy, where he graduated in 1962.

He subsequently painted a body of work consisting of maritime scenes, landscapes and cityscapes.

The painting is carefully packed.
