Important ceramic tableware service from the San Claudio workshop, made in Spain and part of the famous "Madras" pattern, one of the most appreciated fantasies of the second half of the 20th century production. The service stands out for the richness of the multicolored oriental-inspired decoration, characterized by a refined composition of flowers, fruits and ornamental motifs arranged according to an elegant symmetric scheme.

At the center of each piece develops a lively floral composition with peonies, roses and small flowers in shades of pink, yellow, blue and violet, enriched by decorative elements recalling the taste of ancient Chinese porcelains and the famous European interpretations of the "Indian Tree" repertoire. A delicate garland of flowers and leaves runs along the rim of the plates, creating a refined frame that enhances the central scene.

The shaped form of the plates, embellished by gently wavy edges and fine ornamental motifs, gives the whole an timeless classical elegance. The brilliance of the glaze and the rich chromaticity of the decoration bear witness to the high level of execution of the manufactory, always appreciated for the care of details and attention to European decorative traditions.

Each piece of the set is in excellent condition. Only the lid of the soup tureen shows a crack that has been treated with conservative restoration: the damage has been stabilized, the lid is perfectly intact and functional, but a crack is visible at the center (the last two photographs show this defect).
Some pieces in the set show on the surface a fine and homogeneous crazing of the glaze, compatible with the age of the artifact and typical of terracotta wares of the period.
