Alessandro Gorgone, known by the artistic name AGO, was born in 1971 in Sicily, in Palermo.
Alongside his scientific activity, Alessandro Gorgone pursues a personal artistic research in the field of painting, developed in parallel to biomedical laboratory work.
His painting practice is based on an expressive use of color and on the layering of shapes, in a continuous dialogue between method, observation and creative freedom.
Ago's inspiration derives from the synthesis of images, which he reworks into compositions resembling confetti, characterized by an overlay of colors.
