Description from the seller
Omega Lepine Pocket Watch in Silver with Case and Leontina (c. 1934–1936)
Exceptional Lepine-style pocket watch from the Swiss manufacture Omega, produced between 1934 and 1936 according to its serial number (8577622). The piece features a robust 50.79 mm sterling silver case with a mirror-polish finish and a golden onion crown. The white porcelain dial stands out for high legibility, configured with Breguet-style Arabic numerals, flame-blued steel feuille hands, and a small seconds sub-dial at 6 o’clock.
Mechanically, it houses a manually wound in-house caliber with split bridges and a frosted gold finish. The movement incorporates technical precision features of the era, such as a split bi-metallic balance with thermal-compensation screws and regulation by a rack on a hand-engraved bridge. It is presented with its original 32 cm silver leontina chain and the factory presentation case in velvet and silk.
Dimensions: Diameter 50.79 mm; weight of the watch 79.38 g.
Accessory: Sterling silver leontina chain (20.55 g and 32 cm long).
Mechanism: Original Omega mechanical caliber, clean and in working order.
Condition: The dial shows superficial hairline cracks between the 2 and 5 o’clock positions and a small chip at 4 o’clock. The silver case shows visible wear (see photos in detail) and the original case with natural aging wear.
