An iconic set of three Festivo candlesticks, designed in 1967 by the legendary designer Timo Sarpaneva for Iittala. The Festivo is one of the most recognizable objects in Finnish design and a favorite among international collectors.
The unique design of the Festivo emerged when Sarpaneva designed a wine glass large enough for a whole bottle of wine; he attached this glass to the base of a candlestick, and thus the prototype of this classic was born. The glass has a distinctive surface that resembles melting ice, giving each candlestick a unique and natural look.
Set specifications:
The set consists of three different sizes, each characterized by the number of rings:
- 2 rings: height approx. 12 cm
- 3 rings: height approx. 14.5 cm
- 4 rings: height approx. 18 cm
Authenticity and Signature:
This set is special because all three pieces are hand-signed on the underside with the initials 'TS' (Timo Sarpaneva). In addition, they bear the original red Iittala stickers (some slightly faded) and 'Made in Finland', which attest to the quality and provenance of the set.
