Oscar Leonor presents Playa XL (2021), a cubist-inspired mixed media work combining acrylic painting and charcoal on a 100 by 80 cm format, signed and in excellent condition, created in Spain and sold directly by the artist, featuring blue, pink, purple, green, black and white tones and delivered rolled with a certificate of authenticity.
Description from the seller
"Playa" is a cubist-inspired work in which we discover two figures set in the space of what appears to be a beach. The creation process blends loose, intuitive charcoal drawing with color washes, highlighting the pink tones of flesh and combining them with blues and purples.
Signed on the front, lower right corner. It is sold rolled without a frame with professional packaging, including a certificate of authenticity.
The seller and their story:
Spanish figurative painter. Born in Segovia in 1976, self-taught draftsman and painter for years. He has exhibited his work in public venues and at national and international art fairs since 2014.
His interests are varied; he conceives painting as a tool for reuniting with oneself. His creative process has evolved over time; experimentation and the search for new paths, methods, and materials are the engine of his career. However, it can be said that the deconstruction of form and dialogue with art history have been two pillars that have remained and around which he finds the freedom to create and convey.
This attitude has led him through different avenues throughout his life, trying different formulas and genres such as still life, representation of personal objects, drawing and body painting, or symbolism and the narrative. His main goal is to develop a painting with a personal character that connects with him and in which humor is almost always present.
Artistic trajectory, main exhibitions.
