XTC, titled Mc Dollars red Boxed, is a Plastique and Bois artwork in a black boxed frame measuring 27 × 27 × 6 cm, created in 2026, edition 9/20, signed by hand and originating from France in excellent condition with a COA.
Description from the seller
Red and yellow McDollars cone in a black-framed display for wall presentation by XTC.
Détournement of the McDonald’s cone. This is not a McDonald’s cone made of cardboard; it was created from plastics and fully painted and varnished by XTC with fake banknotes.
The frame is part of the artwork. It comes with a plastic pane, and you can display it with or without it, as in the first and second photo.
Signed and numbered on the back out of 20, Certificate of Authenticity (COA) provided.
The shipped exemplar is not necessarily the same as the photo but will be similar.
Careful and tracked shipping.
Born in 1978 in the heart of France, XTC has shaped his artistic universe through an interest in Design, Pop Art, and more recently Street Art. This visual exploration has become a passion that was to be realized.
XTC defines himself as a self-taught visual artist, aligned with the Pop Art movement, through the détournement (appropriation) of contemporary consumer goods.
His creativity is expressed through bold staging of icons of popular consumption (such as McDonald’s, Malabar, Chupa), which he makes clash with the world of luxury (including Chanel, Hermès, Veuve Clicquot champagne, or caviar) and Street Art, further blurring the already tenuous boundaries between these worlds.
He expresses his art through sculpture, mixing painting with all kinds of resins, plastics, and sometimes minerals.
He draws inspiration, among others, from Banksy, Keith Haring, Orlinski, Andy Warhol, Obey and advertising and addictions in general.
All defects or imperfections are an integral part of the work.
