Description from the seller
Vintage Murano Filigrana Glass Shallow Bowl – Pink/White Latticino – 1950s/60s
Elegant mid-century art glass bowl in the shape of a stylized leaf, made on the island of Murano, Italy. The piece is executed in the classic Filigrana or Zanfirico technique, where fine milky-white filigree glass (latticino) is embedded in a spiral form into the soft pink and clear glass.
This creates a beautiful optical effect and stunning shadows in sunlight.
Specifications:
Technique: Filigrana / Latticino (Pink, White, Clear)
Period: Approx. 1950-1960
Dimensions: 15 x 10 x 6 cm
Weight: 624 grams
The bowl is in very nice vintage condition and structurally flawless. There are no chips, cracks, or repairs. As indicated in the detail photo (with the pencil), there is a small nick/abrasion spot on the underside of one of the solid glass support facets. This is not visible when normally placed and does not compromise the integrity of the piece.
