Description from the seller
mixed techniques, signed abstraction by Jean-Luc Moerman (1967)
Jean-Luc Moerman is a contemporary Belgian visual artist born in Brussels on July 5, 1967. Self-taught painter and iconoclast, he has established himself on the international art scene thanks to his singular practice of drawing and his urban interventions
Style and artistic characteristics
Gesture and line: Freehand drawing is the starting point of all his works. His flexible strokes weave and repeat endlessly.
Organic aesthetics: His abstract compositions evoke biomorphic forms, cellular motifs, calligraphy, or graffiti.
Saturated colors: He uses explosive chromatic palettes, regularly employing vivid or fluorescent tones.
The concept of the visual virus: His creations are designed to colonize space, spreading in a “viral” way across a multitude of supports
Dimensions of the work : without frame : 53 cm x 74 cm
: with frame : 77 cm x 97 cm
The work is dated 1993 and signed bottom right
