XTC presents Mc Hermès full gold, a sculpture in glass, plastics and metal from France, 27 cm high by 15 cm wide by 15 cm deep, year 2026, edition 3/20, hand-signed with a COA included, in excellent condition.
Description from the seller
Mc Hermes full-gold cone by XTC.
A détournement of a McDonald’s cone, the intersection of luxury and mass consumerism.
This is not a cardboard McDonald’s cone; everything was created from plastics and painted by XTC, with very bright faux gold diamonds!
The glass cloche is an integral part of the work.
Signed and numbered out of 20 below, Certificate of Authenticity (COA) provided.
(The copy sent may not be the one in the photo)
Careful and trackable shipping.
Born in 1978 in the heart of France, XTC shaped his artistic universe through an interest in Design, Pop Art, and more recently Street Art. This visual exploration has become a passion that was meant to crystallize.
XTC defines himself as a self-taught visual artist, aligned with the Pop Art movement, through the détournement of contemporary consumer goods.
His creativity is expressed through bold staging of icons of popular consumption (such as McDonald's, Malabar, Chupa), which he makes collide with the world of luxury (including Chanel, Hermes, Veuve Clicquot champagne, or caviar) and Street Art, further blurring the already tenuous boundaries between these worlds.
He expresses his art through sculpture, blending painting with all kinds of resins, plastics, and sometimes mineral materials.
He draws inspiration, among others, from Banksy, Keith Haring, Orlinski, Andy Warhol, Obey and advertising and addictions in general.
All potential flaws or imperfections are an integral part of the work.
