Half red morocco, spine smooth gilted with a decorative motif (plaque by H. Robyn), boards adorned with a gilt decoration, gilt edges (binding by J. Galicher).

Work illustrated with 26 plates hors texte, including 14 chromolithographs, 4 photogravures, a folding color map, 7 double plates in black, and 226 in-text wood-engraved figures.

Good copy, binding barely rubbed, small dark blemishes on the first board, some foxing on the edges, interior in very good condition.
