Silent Playgrounds is a contemporary work created in mixed techniques on a 3D cotton canvas (60 × 60 cm - 4 cm thick), combining acrylic painting, collage and graphic work.

An iconic figure drawn from the collective imagination — Minnie Mouse — occupies the pictorial space with a pronounced, almost theatrical presence. She converses with a layered background composed of motifs, textures and overlaid colored bands, evoking visual memory, childhood and the symbolic saturation of our era.

The work is nuanced by the discreet introduction of a second character, Astro Boy, treated in black and white and placed at the margin of the composition. Through its reduced scale and frozen posture, it establishes a silent hierarchy and a subtle narrative tension. This secondary presence, almost erased, acts as a fragile counterpoint to the dominant icon.

A deliberately more minimalist area breaks the density of the setting and structures the reading of the image. The contrast between graphic accumulation and breathing spaces reinforces the movement of the eye and establishes an unstable balance between narration, abstraction and silence.

Silent Playgrounds probes nostalgia, popular culture and their contemporary alteration, oscillating between apparent gentleness, symbolic domination and latent unease.
