Description from the seller
THE WORK:
Title: Face No. 6. (Achilles)
Year: 2016
Technique: Oil /linen /Panel.
Dimensions: 100x100x3 cm.
Support: Linen glued to panel.
Signature: Signed by the artist in the lower right corner.
COMMENT:
The painting Face No. 6 offers a personalized interpretation of the figure of the Greek hero Achilles, known for his prominent role in the Trojan War and his depiction in Homer's Iliad. The work presents this head of the Greek bust, which I have transformed using digital treatment techniques. I explored various possibilities to modify the color and textures of the original sculpture, aiming to bring it into a more personal territory. Chromatism plays a fundamental role in the piece. The space is arranged in three vertical bands, highlighting the central one as the most important, where Achilles’ head is located. The sides appear as possible entries to the painting, treated with different chromatisms and textures that enhance its depth and visual complexity.
The work is in perfect condition of conservation. It includes an authenticity certificate with a photograph of the artwork, dated and hand-signed by the artist.
Shipping is carried out with the artwork mounted on its original stretcher and properly protected.
