Luis Alberto Wells (1939-2023) was a prominent Argentine visual artist, pioneer of the Informal Movement (1959) and renowned for his "Techos" and "Toys." He explored painting, sculpture, and design, with an aesthetic that integrated discarded materials. He resided in London and New York, winning the Di Tella Prize (1965) and the Konex (1982).
