Ironical and contemporary reimagining of an iconic historical scene: Mickey Mouse as Napoleon Bonaparte, portrayed with the solemn style of period paintings. The work plays on the contrast between classical pictorial language and the intrusion of a pop icon, creating a visual short circuit that unites history, pop culture and parody. Realized in 2025, it is part of a sold-out series dedicated to the irreverent reinterpretation of collective symbols.

This new artwork arises from the creativity of the French artist Louis Dourand, known for having collaborated in the past with Santicri, in an artistic dialogue that managed to fuse different visual languages into a shared expressive vision. Santicri – with whom Louis Dourand has collaborated on several occasions – is one of the most established contemporary artists on the international scene.
He has exhibited his works in prestigious contexts such as Palazzo Grillo in Genoa in 2022 and the International Contemporary Furniture Fair (ICFF) in New York in 2023.
In 2024 he was recognized among the Best-Selling Artists by Artmayeur and entered the top 3 of the most sought-after artists on Catawiki, alongside names like Kaws and Banksy.
