Austrian bentwood coat stand / Garderobenständer in the Vienna Secession / Jugendstil style, dating from the late 19th to early 20th century, circa 1890–1910.

Elegant and highly decorative model made of steam-bent beech wood, produced in the tradition of the famous Viennese bentwood workshops such as Gebrüder Thonet, Jacob & Josef Kohn and related Central European manufacturers.

The coat stand features beautifully curved hooks, an umbrella ring and a classic sculptural silhouette characteristic of the Viennese Jugendstil period. The warm original patina, old construction details and aged bentwood elements strongly support an early production date.

Comparable examples can be found in period Austrian bentwood catalogues from the late 19th century.
