TOONS - LES SCHTROUMPFS – BLUE GOLD

Toons, a French contemporary artist, presents “BLUE GOLD” (2026), a unique original 1/1 piece, entirely handmade on two authentic US $1 bills assembled. From the Alchemy Series, this work features the Smurfs universe in a scene inspired by alchemy, transformation, and the pursuit of wealth. It is signed by the artist, accompanied by its certificate of authenticity, and offered in excellent condition.

Story:
Gargamel dominates the scene above a cauldron of liquid gold, pouring a glowing potion while Smurfette begins to transform into precious matter. Around the mushroom houses swallowed up, the bespectacled Smurf and the flirtatious Smurf try to escape, under Azrael’s gaze, ready to spring. Through the contrast between the iconic blue of the characters, the gold of the cauldron, and the toxic green potion, the work develops a contemporary reading around value, transformation, and the obsession with wealth.
