Description from the seller
Oil painting by the Florentine painter Renzo Grazzini (signed). Trained at the Florentine Art Institute of Porta Romana, during the thirties he naturally reflects the directions that condition the city’s artistic life, but in the postwar period he is one of those young painters, gathered from the so‑called cenacle of the Gallery Il Fiore, who become protagonists of a renewal of the visual arts, which, while revisiting the main modern experiences, seeks to unite them with the natural development of the Tuscan tradition. Over the course of his long career Renzo Grazzini has mounted over fifty solo exhibitions in the major Italian cities, and has also participated in the main national art exhibitions, including the Venice Biennale and the Rome Quadriennale. His works are preserved in many public and private collections, in Italy and abroad, such as the Galleria d’Arte Moderna in Florence and the Hermitage Museum in Saint Petersburg.
