In my version, David no longer raises the head of Goliath…
He holds the head of a bear, a symbol of innocence, a pop icon, a comforting mascot.
Because in our era, we don’t topple giants anymore, we decapitate symbols.

The chiaroscuro of Caravaggio against the absurd gentleness of a bear that doesn’t understand what’s happening to him.
Both funny, unsettling, and a little tragic.

Teejo is a French contemporary artist. Cultural mediator, he modernizes ancient works of great masters by reinventing them with his own vision.
