Kip met kuikens is an original oil on oak panel by J. W. van Trirum (1924-2011), dated to the 1950s, measuring 33 cm by 38 cm, signed by hand, sold with the frame, and attributed to the Netherlands with the frame noted as damaged on the right side.

Artist Jan van Trirum was born on February 21 in Rotterdam and died on September 21, 2011 in Wolphaartsdijk.
His full name was Johannes Wouterus van Trirum.
At the age of 13, Jan worked as an apprentice at the advertising atelier Mineur.
There he contributed to the large canvases made for cinema advertisements. This work gave him great skill in quickly and accurately laying out a piece.
In the evenings he attended the Royal Academy of Visual Arts in Rotterdam. There he studied under Heyboer (the father of) and Van Oort.
Due to the outbreak of World War II, he could not finish his studies at the academy.
As a painter, Jan became best known for his paintings of young kittens. He also painted horses, dogs, ducks, and beach scenes. He also created cityscapes of Dordrecht and Rotterdam.
Moreover, he worked for a period on a series of paintings of the Biesbosch.
Jan was a member of the International Organization of Free Art (IOFA).
Painting in reasonably good condition; the right side of the frame has damage.
