This unique print features the profile of a Japanese young woman — pure and delicate silhouette, traditional bun threaded with kanzashi, poised head held high — whose contours become the window opening onto an entire inner world, as if her soul reveals itself through the landscape she carries within.

The magic of the composition lies in the masterful superimposition of figure and landscape. Inside the silhouette, a traditional Japanese etchu-inspired setting blooms in full autumn splendor: majestic mountains rise toward the crown, their slopes alight with the fiery colors of momiji — scarlet reds, burnt oranges, golden ochers of maple leaves — while a winding river traverses the scene in a deep, soothing blue. Wooden traditional pavilions with curved roofs line the watercourse, nestled among the blazing foliage, silent witnesses to a nature undergoing seasonal transformation.
