Elegant small contoured-edged solid silver tray dating to 1900–1910, weighing 278 g with dimensions 27 cm by 17.5 cm, made in France by Cailar Bayard and bearing the Minerve mark and the master mark C B, in excellent condition with only minor signs of wear and no monogram.

Elegant small, gently undulating solid silver tray (Minerva hallmark), made by the prestigious Parisian silversmith house Cailar Bayard (active until 1912, the date of its acquisition by Christofle).
Details of the piece:
• Style: Louis XV / Rocaille with contoured edges and delicately pierced handles.
• Decoration: Fine undercutting of floral and foliate motifs on the marli, attesting to the high quality of the silversmith’s craftsmanship.
• Weight: 278 grams of silver
• Personalization: Unmonogrammed object (free of family engravings).
Hallmarks perfectly authenticated:
• Master mark: Diamond with the initials "C B" surrounding a radiating sun (official mark of the Cailar Bayard house).
• Title mark: Minerva’s head (official guarantee of French sterling silver).
• Control marks: Presence of additional assay/control marks on the reverse.
