This painting comes from a deeply personal experience of how mental health can affect the body as much as the mind. It reflects anxiety, emotional overwhelm, and inner instability, moments when your whole body feels overheated, restless, tense, and impossible to calm down.
The painting reflects that experience, the feeling of trying to hold onto yourself while everything internally begins to shift and unravel.
The pressure is building internally, exhaustion, disconnection from yourself, trying to stay grounded while mentally unravelling underneath it all. The layered paint, distorted forms, and instinctive brushwork became my way of translating those feelings into something visual and physical.
While the work comes from my own experience, I am always interested in how other people connect with the painting through their own emotions, memories, and personal experiences.
