Style and decoration: The pot is beautifully decorated with the recognizable Famille Rose enamel palette. The painting shows refined, colorful flower motifs with large branches full of peonies and chrysanthemums, which in Chinese culture symbolize wealth, prosperity and happiness.
Form and handles: The object has a characteristic round shape with a matching lid and small metal or porcelain eyelets where metal handles could originally be attached for carrying hot food or soup.
Knob: The lid knob is often organically shaped, for example inspired by the shape of a peach (symbol for a long life) or a lotus bud.
