In the light, the surface reveals a clear presence. Depending on the incidence of light and the viewing angle, the texture and depth change, individual layers become more pronounced. The work appears spatial and physical – perception arises while walking, standing, and lingering.
Frequency RED VIOLET — Sculpture of light, structure & presence
Frequency RED VIOLET is inspired by sound and frequency. From my work as a pianist I translate rhythm, pause, and repetition into a visual structure. The composition follows a reduced order. Repetitions create tension comparable to held tones, while subtle color shifts mark transitions.
Work details:
Title: Frequency RED VIOLET
Size: 80 × 80 cm × 4.5 cm
Technique & Materials: Acrylic paint and heavy-gel texture paste on canvas, built up in layers with various spatulas. The pigments form elevations and overlays with a calm, pulsating tension.
Only materials of the highest quality are used: Amsterdam Expert acrylic paints, Liquitex texture pastes – all locally produced in Austria.
Frame: Wide carrying frame made of solid natural wood (included in the price).
(Black decorative frame not included)
Images: The pictures were taken under professional studio lighting. Light is essential for the color play of the works. The artist recommends placement under direct or indirect light to fully bring out the color play and make the works feel alive.
