Discovery of this small chessboard in blue alabaster, originating from Italy.
An incredible restoration has been carried out, as at the moment of discovery the chessboard was broken in several places and pieces.
There was a major recovery effort, and now the surface appears hyper-transparent and protects the chessboard, giving the object a sense of depth, also because its small size of 25 cm per side makes it almost a rarity.
In the photos you can see the scars of the chessboard, as an attempt was made to restore it with the Japanese art of Kintsugi, which repairs a broken object in an effort to increase its preciousness.
Finally the support area was finished with natural linen fabric, adding another touch of originality.
In the photos there are small defects of the pieces due to time.
