Description from the seller
Printed cotton handkerchief, used by rural housewives who carried it folded into a triangle and wrapped around the neck to cover the shoulders, during the Wheat Battle campaign, initiated by the Duce Benito Mussolini to pursue Italy's self-sufficiency in wheat production. On a white background, with vivid red and yellow and blue colors, we see ears of wheat together with poppies and daisies, with the word DUCE repeating across the central surface of the handkerchief. It measures about 75 x 75 cm and is in good condition, with normal signs of use and aging, as shown in the photos. The item will be shipped by courier.
