Bartolomeo Bezzi (Fucine d'Ossana, February 6, 1851 - Cles, October 8, 1923).
After Segantini, the most important Trentino painter of the nineteenth century, as well as one of the leading artistic promoters in Italy of his time.

Originary from Val di Sole, where he was born in 1851, he completed his artistic training at the Brera Academy and soon became a prominent figure in Milan's artistic circle.

Having moved to Venice, he contributed decisively to the foundation of the Biennale.

In the last years of life he retired to Cles, in his Trentino, where he died on October 8, 1923 after a long period of inactivity.

He won the silver medal at the 1900 Paris Exposition Universelle.

The painting "Venditrice di zucca" is datable to 1890-1900
