Old original painting by the Italian painter Mario Illusi, known as "Millus" (Livorno, 1925-1992)
Complete with legally compliant certification stamped and signed.
Post-Macchiaiola School
Painted with small signs of age in good condition, does not require restoration
Complete with a new gold Baroque frame with a small ivory passe-partout, gold edge (without glass)
Technique: oil on faesite board
Title or subject: "Mareggiata" (Storm at Sea)
Painting dimensions: 21 x 25 cm
External dimensions with frame: 34 x 38 cm

Millus is the pseudonym of Mario Illusi, a Livorno-based artist born in 1925 and who passed away in 1992.
Like all artists from the Livorno milieu, Millus’s painterly production was predominantly landscape.
In Millus’s painterly work, strongly influenced by the Macchiaioli and post-Macchiaioli tradition, the description of the landscape shows a perfect union between descriptive realism and an impressionistic rendering of the perceptual data.
