COMMENTARY:
A charcoal study of a cat exploring, through loose strokes and the layering of lines, the relationship between form, movement, and character. The figure is built with quick strokes and gestures that suggest volume without enclosing it, leaving open areas that convey lightness and dynamism. The dual presence introduces a temporal reading: movement and pause, intuition and alertness. The gaze, precise and restrained, acts as an anchor against the dissolution of the body into the gesture. The work captures the animal’s independent and elusive nature, combining direct observation and expressive synthesis in a balance between control and spontaneity.
The work is in perfect condition.
Includes a certificate of authenticity with a photograph of the work, dated and hand-signed by the artist.
