About the artist:
Yamila Velázquez (Las Tunas, Cuba, 1993) is a contemporary artist who uses digital intelligence tools. She currently lives and works in Alicante, Spain. Owner and partner of a company dedicated to the sale, representation and development of artists and artworks, Velázquez combines her business vision with a deep artistic sensibility.
This young Cuban talent has established herself in the field of digital art, using contemporary media to explore themes related to nature, landscape and the intimate relationship between woman and her environment. Her works address with subtlety and strong visual impact topics such as beauty, love, sensuality and female delicacy, always framed in enveloping, romantic and refined atmospheres.
With a vibrant and expressive aesthetic, Yamila Velázquez manages to fuse classical influences with a modern language, resulting in versatile, fresh and profoundly evocative works. Shipping and presentation:
The work will be carefully packaged by a professional and shipped in a rigid cardboard tube, internally protected with bubble wrap to ensure its integrity during transport. In this work, the artist presents us with a profile of almost mystical serenity, where the crimson red of the outfit acts as a canvas of passion and sacrifice. The technique stands out for the fragmentation of the fabric, which has been meticulously “repaired” through a network of Kintsugi that runs along the torso, turning the garment into a crystal and gold armor.

The composition is elevated by the presence of botanical and organic elements: Ginkgo Biloba leaves and butterflies in burnished gold that orbit the figure. The Ginkgo, a symbol of longevity and resilience, reinforces the message of the work. The butterfly perched delicately on the protagonist’s eye not only neutralizes the physical gaze to invite introspection, but also symbolizes the spiritual vision that arises after the reconstruction of the self. It is a piece where the balance between the emptiness of the background and the exuberance of the golden detail creates an atmosphere of meditative luxury.
