Edward Theodore Compton (Stoke Newington, July 29, 1849 – Feldafing, July 22, 1921) was a German mountaineer, painter, and artist of English origin, well known for his paintings and drawings of alpine landscapes, and as a climber he accomplished 300 notable ascents, including no fewer than 27 first ascents.
The frame visible in the photo is included as a courtesy and does not constitute an integral part of the work. Any damage to the frame will not be a valid reason for complaints or cancellations of the order.
