AI-assisted summary

Description from the seller

Delightful landscape by Eugène GALIEN LALOUE, large in scale, signed under his pseudonym KERMAINGUY (his oils are almost always signed with a pseudonym; Dupuy and Galiany being the best known, but also Lievin, Kermainguy, Lenoir, Michel and others much less used).

There is a mushroom picker depicted, carrying baskets and strolling at the forest edge, among rocky blocks, a setting reminiscent of some landscapes in the Fontainebleau forest.

Eugène GALIEN LALOUE was a prolific painter. While he is better known for his Parisian gouaches, highly sought after and trading for several tens of thousands of euros, he also painted a large number of landscapes and seascapes across his many travels in France.

HIGHLIGHTS OF THE PAINTING:
- Large format
- Beautiful luminosity
- Presence of a figure
- Clean work (no restoration required)

Oil on canvas

49 x 65 cm (with a XXth frame OFFERED, approx. 79 x 64 cm)

Signed bottom right "E.KERMAINGUY"

Very good overall condition, on its original canvas, clean work, note a small restoration and some touch-ups on the edges of the canvas, with no visual consequences

Photos taken in natural light
