The one-off edition consists of one hundred copies for trade and 25 copies reserved for the author and the printer. The drawings are by Henk Wiegersma.
Publication: Centum Nec Plura/Amsterdam, 1932.
Author: Johannes Aloysius Antonius (Jan) Engelman (1900 – 1972) was a Dutch poet, critic and translator.

Condition: very fine copy, spine slightly discolored
Tuin van Eros contains the dedication ‘Aan Ambrosia’. ‘Ambrosia’ is the poetic name for Annie van der Meijden-Bakker, wife of violinist Frans van der Meijden.
The volume includes four nude drawings by Hendrik Wiegersma (1891-1969): on the front cover, as a frontispiece, at the table of contents and at the colophon.
The poet is mainly known for his poem Vera Janacopoulos, which, according to some, is a typical example of poésie pure. Another well-known poem regarded as such is En Rade, which Engelman himself called a vocalise.
Both poems are, of course, included in this volume.
