Frontispiece by Cochin fils, engraved in intaglio by Fessart. Contains 25 portrait vignettes and 13 decorative friezes at the end by Pierre and Matthey, engraved by Fessart and many others. Overall, a copy in excellent condition. A good edition from the Barbou Typographies, reprinted several times since 1745. To the lives of illustrious men, the publisher added fragments of Nepote's chronicles, a chronology of the Greek emperors, and other writings.
