After a successful career in advertising, Willie Manders continued as a freelance artist. At first many landscapes (mostly in the Pyrenees). Then portraits. A portrait he created was exhibited for many months in the Rijksmuseum as part of a Rembrandt exhibition.

Still-life painting is now his favorite pastime. Such as this acrylic painting of 30x30 cm.

Na een mooie carrière in de reclame ging Willie Manders verder als vrij kunstenaar. Eerst veel landschappen (vooral in de Pyreneeën). Daarna portretten. Een door hem vervaardigd portret is vele maanden geëxposeerd geweest in het Rijksmuseum als onderdeel van een Rembrandt tentoonstelling.
Het schilderen van stillevens is nu zijn favoriete bezigheid. Zoals dit acrylschilderij van 30x30cm.
