Dated 1313 and housed at the Bibliothèque nationale de France, this Apocalypse is regarded as one of the peaks of French Gothic illumination. Its 162 miniatures, of which 86 are full-page and enriched with gold, testify to exceptional refinement. Created by Colin Chadelve, it represents a turning point in the history of medieval illustration.
