Ice Cold Drinks — Night Stop on Route 66 is a hand-signed giclée on canvas from France, 60 x 40 cm, edition limited to 20 numbered copies, in good condition, signed by the artist, with a certificate of authenticity, dating from 2020 or later and ready to frame.
Description from the seller
Somewhere on a forgotten American road, a gas station glows in the night like a beacon in the void. Under the incandescent red neon, three young people—a boy at the wheel of a powder-blue Ford Thunderbird, a girl sitting on a fuel pump, another walking toward the display window where the words Ice Cold Drinks glow. Nothing is spoken, and yet everything is there: the tension of waiting, the promise of a kiss, the vertigo of being eighteen in a summer night that will never end. The sky is black, the stars tiny, the artificial light floods the scene with a beauty almost unreal. A painting that resurrects the absolute mythology of American youth, somewhere between American Graffiti and Raymond Carver’s short stories. A major work, with rare cinematic power.
