Description from the seller
Large spoon: 1892, with pearl edge, J.M. van Kempen & Zonen, Voorschoten, Keurkamer of The Hague, C in Minerva cup.\nThis represents a beautiful authentic piece of top quality from the most renowned silver factory the Netherlands has ever known, dating from 1892.\nSugar scoop with the exquisite turtle-shell handle is made by the Frisian silversmiths Schijfsma & Smeding from Leeuwarden between 1906 and 1930. The control mark: a Dutch Small Sword, official hallmark for small silverware.\nUnique Amsterdam spice scoop from 1824 by master Balthasar Agasi (with Frisian history!!)\nThis refined scoop began its journey in Amsterdam. It is hand-forged by the well-known Amsterdam silversmith Balthasar Agasi, active in the early 19th century. His master mark—the letters B and L/A with between them the characteristic pictogram of the Denneboom/Christmas tree—stands clearly struck on the piece. Subsequently the silverware was officially assayed and bearing the year letter P. What makes this specific object extra unique for collectors is the later assay mark "DWT" (Directie van de Waarborg) with the office letter "T" from Leeuwarden. This means that this Amsterdam spoon ended up in Friesland during the 19th century. During a tax inspection or official re-assaying in Leeuwarden this VERY RARE stamp on the stem was placed. A wonderful record of the journey this silver item has taken through the Netherlands!!\nLength 9 cm, bowl width 2 cm, weight 5 grams.\nSmall spoon with year letter - E - 1839\nMaster mark: the renowned Frisian silversmith Pieter Cool, active in Sneek from 1833 to 1859.
