Description from the seller

Luis Enrique González
Nobleza Castaña, 2026
Oil on canvas, 51 × 40 cm
Signed (lower right)
Includes certificate of authenticity issued and signed by the artist
In “Nobleza Castaña,” Luis Enrique González offers us a portrait of extraordinary presence and sensitivity. The horse emerges from a dark, deep background, as if time had stopped just to behold its beauty and character.
The work stands out for the quiet strength that emanates from this figure. Every detail of the chestnut coat is worked with a mastery that lets you feel the texture and the shine of the skin under the light. The eye, dark and serene, holds the viewer’s gaze with ancient intelligence and a calm that conveys confidence and nobility. This is not a posing animal; it is a being that simply exists with dignity.
The bridle, detailed with precision and elegance, adds a touch of tradition and respect for the bond between man and horse, without detracting from the animal’s essence. The dark background, painted with soft, enveloping brushstrokes, creates an intimate atmosphere that concentrates all attention on the figure, turning it into an emblem of serene strength and timeless beauty.
“Nobleza Castaña” is a work that evokes respect, admiration, and a deep connection with nature. It speaks of the elegance born from contained strength and that silent presence that only horses of this breed can convey.
A piece of great technical quality and emotional charge, ideal for collectors seeking figurative art with depth, elegance, and the ability to generate a lasting connection.

The work is carefully shipped rolled in a professional transport tube to ensure maximum protection during shipping.

Artist Statement — Luis Enrique González

My work is a constant dialogue between light and form, where oil painting becomes a medium to explore the emotional and symbolic depth of reality. I am interested in nature and the human figure not only as visual subjects but as living territories filled with stories, silences, and tensions. Through realism, I seek to reveal what hides in the everyday: fragility, strength, persistence, and beauty that manifest in gestures, in matter, and in the spaces we inhabit.

Chiaroscuro is, for me, a tool of thought. Through contrast, I find the internal structure of each image, the atmosphere that allows color to breathe and become protagonist. I work with meticulous observation, aiming for each brushstroke to preserve the sensitivity of the moment and, at the same time, a permanence that transcends the temporality of the represented object.

My pieces sit at a crossroads between academic tradition and a contemporary gaze, where rigorous technique coexists with a personal expressive exploration. I paint because I find in oil a space of revelation: a way of understanding the world and, at the same time, reinventing it through light, texture, and color.
