The painting belongs to a series entitled "The Nude As Pretext", which centers on male nudity. This project has been developed since 2014 to the present date, comprising a series of paintings and drawings. One of the works from this project won in 2018 the "Antonio López García Painting Acquisition Fund Prize" in Spain.

Patrícia Trindade is a Portuguese artist who has participated in exhibitions in Portugal, Spain, France, Denmark, Latvia, Mexico, USA, Montenegro, etc. Her works are in public collections of international museums; and works in private collections across Europe.
