Description from the seller
Artist: Borealis Microcosmos
Title: Botanical Cartography
Year: 2025 (print 2026)
Chromatic Veins is a limited edition fine art photograph from The Alchemy Series by Borealis Microcosmos. The work transforms the fragile structure of a fallen leaf into an almost cartographic landscape of colour and texture, where emerald, rose, violet, and gold emerge through a delicate interplay of light and chromatic transformation.
The Alchemy Series explores hidden natural architectures shaped by Scandinavian forests. Each work begins with original macro photography captured in nature and evolves through a deliberate artistic process that emphasizes perception, atmosphere, and material presence, without the use of generative AI.
Through magnification and controlled colour intervention, the ordinary dissolves into something quietly monumental. Veins become pathways. Surface becomes terrain. The work invites contemplation of scale, fragility, and the unexpected radiance embedded within natural decay.
Printing process:
Archival giclée print using pigment-based inks on Hahnemühle Velvet (Balder) 265 g fine art paper.

Limited edition of 5 prints.
