Sonia Anton, Weekend Bazaar, a 50 by 60 cm original acrylic painting with spray paint on canvas, hand signed and created in 2026, shipped direct from the artist from Romania, in excellent condition with a Certificate of Authenticity included.
Description from the seller
A bold, energetic composition built entirely from thick, expressive blocks and strokes of colour on a cool light blue ground. Rectangles and brushmarks in deep burgundy, vivid orange, magenta, red, and electric yellow-green are layered across the canvas in every direction, overlapping and colliding to create a surface that buzzes with life and movement. The paint is applied heavily, with visible texture and scraping throughout, giving the work a raw, spontaneous quality. The result is joyful, loud, and completely alive.
This one was pure fun. I wanted colour everywhere, no rules, no restraint. It reminded me of the energy of a weekend market, noise and colour and life all at once. I loved every minute of painting it.
Please note that colours may vary slightly depending on screen settings, light conditions, and device display. The artwork has been photographed as accurately as possible to reflect the true colours of the original piece.
Sonia Anton is a Romanian-Australian artist whose passion for painting was shaped from an early age, growing up alongside her mother, a celebrated artist whose work left a lasting impression. Having lived across the world from Australia to Mexico and in different continents, Sonia brings a richness of experience and perspective to every canvas. Surrounded by creativity and self-expression from childhood, she naturally found her own voice through paint and colour. Her work is driven by a deep love of colour, and a more recent fascination with texture, which she explores with growing boldness and confidence. Each piece is an act of genuine self-expression, an invitation to feel rather than simply observe.
