Hakushu 12 years old - Suntory - 70cl

Suntory Hakushu comes from the Hakushu Distillery, built in 1973 on Mount Kaikomagatake, making it one of the highest distilleries in the world.
The name Hakushu translates roughly as "white sandbanks" and refers to the water used in its production.
The distillery's water comes from a nearby mountain spring.
The streambed of this spring is full of white stones, and this filtration process gives the water its unique character.
