Description of the work:
PAN D’OR is part of a small series I created exclusively for Catawiki. The inspiration arose very spontaneously: I found in a box in my studio some ancient sheets of gold leaf I had kept for a long time and decided to start experimenting with them over my abstract compositions.

I have greatly enjoyed creating this series. I wanted to work with color, light, and the sense of movement in a free and elegant way, combining soft tones with intense blues and golden specks that change depending on the light and the viewer’s gaze.

For these works I chose a horizontal format because it felt more modern, bold, and contemporary, designed for current spaces and design environments. The gold leaf adds depth, reflections, and a very special presence to each piece.
