Description of the work:
PAN D’OR is part of a small series I created exclusively for Catawiki. The inspiration arose spontaneously: I found in a box in my studio some old gold leaf sheets I had saved a long time ago and decided to start experimenting with them on my abstract compositions.

I have greatly enjoyed creating this series. I wanted to work with color, light and the sense of movement in a free and elegant way, combining soft tones with intense blues and golden flashes that change according to the light and the viewer’s gaze.

For these works I chose a horizontal format because it seemed more modern, daring and contemporary, designed for current spaces and design-focused environments. The gold leaf adds depth, reflections and a very special presence to each piece.
