Lasveguix is a French artist specialized in poster collages. Inspired from a young age by Jacques Villeglé’s torn posters and the street art of Basquiat and Haring as well as Andy Warhol’s pop art, he creates his paintings from torn poster collages covered with graffiti, painting and photo prints. This mix gives life to colorful and powerful works that resemble walls ripped from the street, lending an undeniable urban style to his work.
He likes to work the background of his supports like a wall, with a story, a message, giving depth and dimension, creating a sense of movement and life in his works.
He participates in numerous charitable events and auctions, such as June 28, 2023, at the last COEUR CENTRAL gala at Roland Garros, for the associations "Terre d impact" and "Fete le mur", where his work "Une Etoile est née" on the 40th anniversary of Yannick Noah’s win at RG, was auctioned at 35,000 euros, and on October 4, 2023, at the gala "Autour des Williams" at Pavillon Ledoyen, his homage to Jane Birkin was auctioned at 50,000 euros. It is a great pride for him to help sick children and the less fortunate through his artistic work.
It fits perfectly in a library or a contemporary interior, alongside books on Futura 2000, Basquiat, Helmut Newton, Erwin Olaf, Sandra Chevrier, Maurizio Cattelan, André Saraiva, Bordalo II, Cleon Peterson, Felipe Pantone, Retna, Crash, Seen, Miss Van, Joan Cornella, Javier Calleja, Edgar Plans, Miss Tic, M.Chat, Swoon, Seth, Pierre Soulages, Dran and many other major figures in contemporary art, street art and pop art.
