About Ceretto Barbaresco
Ceretto Barbaresco is an organic, barrel-aged red wine produced by the Italian winery Ceretto using the Nebbiolo grape variety in the Barbaresco DOCG (Piedmont).
In 1937, Riccardo Ceretto founded this family winery, which has become a true benchmark in Piedmont winemaking. A wide range of wines produced each year includes prestigious appellations from the Langhe region, such as Barbaresco, Barolo, and Moscato d'Asti, among others. Today, Alessandro Ceretto is responsible for perpetuating this legacy, aiming to convey the expression of a majestic terroir.
Ceretto Barbaresco is the result of blending wines from the younger vineyards of Asili and the lower part of Treiso. In total, 5 hectares are cultivated under organic certification and without any chemicals that could disrupt the natural balance of the terroir. Once the grapes are fully ripe, they are harvested by hand.
The Ceretto Barbaresco grapes are transported directly to the winery where they continue to ferment with indigenous yeasts and the cap of yeast.
