AI-assisted summary

Description from the seller

3 Panels measuring 30x60 cm

This triptych from the Viaggio series tells three suspended moments: waiting, passage, and contemplation.
The black figures, small and silent, traverse essential spaces where light, architecture, and emptiness become emotion. Each panel stands alone, but together they build an intimate and universal path, like certain memories that do not make a sound yet cling to you.

****

“Passages” / “Viaggio”

The Viaggio series is born from the idea of inner movement rather than physical displacement.
Each triptych represents a crossing: between silences, waits, distances, and possibilities. The figures, deliberately anonymous and reduced to simple silhouettes, become universal symbols in which the observer can recognize themselves.

Cliffs, sea, stairs, architectures, trees and cities are not depicted as real places, but as emotional spaces. The geometric elements and the large empty surfaces amplify the sense of contemplation, while the presence of gold introduces a suspended, almost spiritual light that guides the narrative path of each composition.

The choice of a minimalist language eliminates the superfluous and leaves room for atmosphere: every work lives on balance, silence, and visual tension. The triptychs function as small silent stories, linked to one another by continuity of light, perspectives, and recurring symbols.

Viaggio is a reflection on the human journey: doubt, crossing, solitude, search, and the need to go beyond. An essential and contemporary series, capable of uniting visual elegance and inner emotion without the need for forced explanations.

***Disclaimer***

Each artwork is born from the meeting of artistic expression and artisanal workmanship.
The painting represents the main creative element, while the support (canvas and materials) is an integral part of a careful and conscious production process.
The canvases used are selected with particular attention to quality and, where possible, environmental sustainability, favoring recycled or low-impact materials. In some cases, supports may be produced or finished artisanally, even through the reuse of materials.
Any slight imperfections of the support are not to be considered defects, but testimony of the manual process and the artisanal nature of the product. These characteristics in no way compromise the artistic value or integrity of the work, but rather reinforce its uniqueness.
Each painting should therefore be understood as a unique piece, the fruit of a process that unites creativity, manual skill, and responsible attention to materials.

Seller's Story

“Art is born where imperfection stops being a defect and becomes language.” Vincenzo Raimondo is an Italian contemporary artist born and active in Palermo. Self-taught, he develops a personal pictorial research that traverses material abstraction, minimalism and contemporary figuration, without adhering to rigid stylistic schemes. His painting takes shape from the observation of daily life: common objects, memories, cultural symbols and emotional fragments are transformed into essential images, capable of creating a direct dialogue with the observer. The mark, the matter and the void become an integral part of the visual narration. Over the years he has participated in artistic events, group exhibitions and improvised happenings in the Palermo area, maturing a recognizable language that combines visual immediacy and emotional research. His presence in local artistic initiatives and cultural manifestations has contributed to building an independent and coherent path. Among the most relevant experiences are participation in group shows and artistic events in Palermo and exhibition activities related to the contemporary Sicilian creative landscape. In 2015 and 2016 he was a finalist in the national competition Sunday Painters promoted by La Stampa as part of Artissima, distinguishing himself among thousands of participating artists. In 2016 he received the Critics’ Award, a recognition that marked a significant step in defining his artistic identity. Raimondo’s production develops through several thematic series. Among these, the Fly series is one of the most recognizable: minimalist and poetic compositions in which small suspended elements evoke lightness, memory and the desire to escape. Alongside this pursuit coexist textural works, contemporary reinterpretations of Sicilian culture and pieces inspired by pop and cinematic imagery. Each work is born from an instinctive and experimental process, where imperfection is welcomed as an authentic part of the creative journey. Raw surfaces, stratifications, deliberately irregular marks and materiality are not hidden but enhanced as living traces of the work itself. For Raimondo, art is not mere decoration, but emotional presence: a direct and sincere way of transforming experiences, memory and observation into contemporary images.
